Bio
Overview
Name: Yomiko Readman
Fandom: ROD
Age: 31
Birthday: TBA
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Room: TBA
Appearance
Yomiko is small by British standards, and somewhat average. Japanese natives and the doctors will be able to tell at a glance that she is half English. Her long dark hair falls rather elegantly when she remembers to brush it, and when outdoors wears a coat that can conceal small books in its' pockets. She wears glasses whose frames are thick, squarish, and obviously made for a larger person's face. Yomiko will blush unashamedly when near attractive, unread, or well written books.
Personality
Yomiko seems to be softspoken and calm. She is , more or less, unless you bring books into a conversation. At the mention of an author or novel, she will suddenly become animate and vehemently, desperately attentive. More than anything, Yomiko adores the expression of emotions and the human condition within literature, and (aside from more books) wishes that others could appreciate and learn from books as much as she has. Unless a schedule is imposed on her life, she tends to retreat to small rooms with large piles of books, and is happy for anyone to join her there.
History
Yomiko enjoys a very special relationship with books and paper; she is a Paper-User, a magician who can manipulate paper without any limit, almost. She choses to avoid using her power save for extreme circumstances these days, due to the manner in which she obtained her powers. Having chosen the safety of literature over that of the life of her lover, Yomiko carries Donnie Nakajima's death and memory within the recycled frames of his glasses. There are three other paper users, and two very close friends of Yomiko's who remain in Japan. Her experiences with them, and members of the British Library have led her to Russia, seeking a quiet place to earn a living.
